When you give your faith-seed of joy this month, as my thank you to you, I will send you my recent powerful message titled, How To Keep Your Joy And Live In Victory. Click here to give>

Merry Christmas to you from the Savelle family and all the staff at Jerry Savelle Ministries. It’s our desire to see you experience the abundant life Jesus paid for you to have and that’s why I’m so thankful that God has connected us together and that I get to speak God’s Word into your life each and every month.

One of the most popular Christmas songs being played at this time of the year is, Joy To The World. And it’s true, because of Jesus, we have much to be joyful about.

Did you know that joy and faith go hand in hand? It’s really not possible to have one without the other! If there’s no joy in it, then it’s not really faith.

This month, I want to teach you how to keep your joy and live in total victory over every negative circumstance that you face in your life.

I’ve discovered that a person who is full of faith should also be full of joy! In fact, the apostle Paul wrote his partners in Philippi saying, “I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith” (Philippians 1:25).

Paul is a great example of how you and I should stay in joy regardless of what is happening around us. He refused to allow his circumstances to diminish his joy. He wrote the book of Philippians while arrested and in chains. That’s when he wrote, “To live is Christ, to die is gain.” His circumstances couldn’t steal his joy!

The same should be true for you! Your joy should not be hindered by your circumstances.

Your joy is not based on circumstances, it’s based on relationship. As long as your relationship with Jesus is progressing, joy will be evident regardless of circumstances.

The psalmist David understood this. He prayed to God in Psalm 51:12 asking, “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” The Message states it like this, “Make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life.”

Or you could say, “Release me from every attack of the enemy and cause me to have joy and victory once again.”

If you allow Satan to steal your joy, it’s not very likely that you’re going to see many victories in your life. Refuse to let your circumstances rob you of joy!

I’m telling you this spiritual principle from personal experience. A few years ago I found some property I wanted to purchase for my family. Since I don’t borrow money, I needed another piece of property to sell first. A month goes by…2 months go by…3 months go by! Finally, the owner of the property that I wanted had to sell it to someone else.

This was the first time in a long time that I felt disappointed. I really wanted that place. I said to the Lord, “Ever since I started serving you in 1969 You have always blessed me where property is concerned, You’re going to have to explain to me why this didn’t work out.” I told my wife Carolyn that I would have to stop thinking about it. So that it wouldn’t rob me of my joy.

Finally, I told myself that God must have something better for me.

After I stopped thinking about it and stopped allowing it to affect my joy, my property sold! So now I had the money to buy the property but it wasn’t for sale anymore! A few weeks later a realtor called me and said it was on the market again.

When I went and looked at the property again, I thought, “This isn’t what I want. Why was I attracted to this house?” I said thanks, but no thanks! And that’s when another piece of property that God had arranged for became available, and they dropped the price to what I was ready to pay! I’ve been enjoying that property for 3 years now.

If you refuse to lose your joy, God can take something that seems bad to you and use it to do something good for you! Sometimes you’re going to have to give God time to work things out in your favor.

Don’t miss out on God turning around your circumstances because you’re too impatient. Satan obviously wants you to be depressed, sorrowful, and hopeless. But you don’t have to be.

God is about to do something good for you! Keep your joy and keep standing in faith!

You have what it takes to overcome the pressure, hardship, or circumstance you’re facing. 1 Corinthians 10:13 encourages us saying, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

That means that if you were not able to overcome it, God wouldn’t have allowed it! Even when you don’t understand it, God can take everything you go through and use it for your good.

Your story can be like Joseph’s in Genesis 50:20 (CEB) when he declared, “You planned something bad for me, but God produced something good from it.”

God is working behind the scenes to bring about a good result for you. What do you suppose God is working on for you right now? When you think about that, quitting is no longer an option for you!

There is no example in Scripture of God blessing quitters. God blesses and rewards perseverance. Those who refuse to draw back and quit are those who see God’s glory and favor. Regardless of your circumstances, make the faith commitment to keep your joy!

How do you keep your joy during difficult times? Well, your joy is based on relationship, so get in and stay in God’s presence! Psalm 16:11 says, “…in thy presence is fullness of joy…”

You don’t have to be weary, sad, and on the brink of giving up any longer. Acts 3:19 tells us that, “Times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Depression has no place in your life. Disappointment has no place in your life. Fear has no place in your life.

I’m praying for a time of refreshing for you as you spend time in God’s presence. I’m praying for the “joy of your salvation” to be restored.

Your breakthrough is on the way if you are willing to stay in joy. The author of Hebrews encourages us to, “Not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised” (Hebrews 10:35-36).

That’s why I’m here to strengthen your faith and to help you to maintain your joy. You’re not in this fight of faith by yourself. I’m linking my faith with yours. It’s such a privilege to speak God’s word into your life.

As we come to the end of 2018, I want to ask you to pray about giving a faith-seed of joy into this ministry. 2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us that, “God loves a cheerful giver.” There is such joy found in generosity. It brings me great joy to give and see God use what I gave to transform people’s lives.

I encourage you to keep on experiencing the joy of giving! When you give, you play a vital role in this ministry reaching people for Christ and teaching them to be the winner God created them to be.

When you give your faith-seed of joy this month, as my thank you to you, I will send you my recent powerful message titled, How To Keep Your Joy And Live In Victory.

Let me encourage you to finish this year strong in faith and joy regardless of your circumstances. I’m praying for you and hope to hear from you soon.

Wishing you a joyous Christmas,

Jerry Savelle

P.S. If you ever begin to feel weary, check your joy level! Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is our strength.” Make the choice to spend some time in God’s presence this week. Listen to worship music, read a faith book, or listen to a faith-building message. It’s in God’s presence that you will find fullness of joy!
