lshookMonthly Partner Letter

Jerry SavelleAs a thank you for your gift this month, I want to send you a faith-filled message I recently preached titled, Faith in the Goodness of GodClick here to give>

I’m going to share with you the foundational truth for having a strong, unwavering faith to see God do greater things in your life.

When I tell you, you’re probably going to think it seems too simple. In fact, I’m sure that it’s even something you have heard before. But I promise you this, if you will read this letter and take to heart what God has asked me to share with you, this truth has the power to build your faith on an unshakable foundation.

Did you know that the deeper and more accurately you know God and who He is, the stronger your faith will be?

Think about it . . . the better you know God, the more you will be sure about what He wants and what He will do. Conversely, the less you know Him, either through a lack of knowledge or incorrect knowledge, the weaker your faith will be during times of pressure.

That is why this essential truth I’m about to share with you is so vital to building unwavering faith.

It may sound simple, but you MUST be convinced and have a revelation of this truth: GOD IS GOOD AND DESIRES TO SHOW HIS GOODNESS TO YOU!

You’ve heard that God is good before, but it’s amazing how many of God’s people still aren’t fully persuaded that they should be on the receiving end of His goodness.

Sure, many people believe He’s good, but they just aren’t convinced yet that they qualify to experience His goodness. Many assume He does wonderful things for their pastor or for me, but they think, Who am I that God would do the same for me?

The psalmist David wrote long, long ago, “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all and his tender mercies are over all his works” (Psalm 145:8-9).

God is good to who? GOOD TO ALL! Not just a select few, but ALL! That definitely includes YOU!

GOD IS GOOD AND HE WANTS TO MANIFEST HIS GOODNESS TO YOU!

I also know that even though I have experienced God’s goodness in a BIG way for over four decades, He wants to reveal His goodness to me and you even GREATER now than ever before. And I challenge you to dare to believe it!

One of my favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11. It says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil . . .” The New Living Translation says, “They are plans for good . . .”

For you and me to fail or to live in defeat is not a “good thing,” therefore, it is not God’s thought nor is it His plan. Settle it in your heart once and for all that GOD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EVIL THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO PEOPLE.

I’ve heard it said before, “Blaming God for the evil things that happen to man is like blaming Henry Ford for having an accident in one of his Ford automobiles.”

If you are going to develop unwavering faith, you must be fully convinced of this: God is good and good things come from Him; Satan is bad and bad things come from him.

Jesus said it like this, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (John 10:10, AMP).

Jesus’ half-brother, James, tells us, “Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father . . .” (James 1:17, NLT).

David said in Psalm 23:6, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life . . .” Let me encourage you to get to the place, like David, and expect it to show up every day for the rest of your life.

With this truth deeply lodged in his heart, David was fearless. He was confident that no matter what was going on around him, the goodness of God would always show up. Wouldn’t you agree that this is a great way to go through life?

Your faith can be sure and unwavering in the face of impossible situations. It is true that in this world you will have trouble. But praise God, Jesus has overcome the world (see John 16:33)!

No matter what you face in life, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). This means that God even takes what Satan intends for evil and turns it around for something good in your life!

God’s goodness will prosper every area of your life—spirit, soul, body, financially, and relationally. Third John 2 tells us He wants us to prosper even as our souls prosper. However, it is for more than just our enjoyment. I like to say it’s prosperity with a purpose.

God is not just concerned with you having a good life. God is after the heart and soul of mankind! And He greatly desires to manifest His goodness in our lives to such a level that the world will see it and want to know the God we serve.

In fact, the Apostle Paul said in Romans 2:4, “The goodness of God leads to repentance.” That is true for you and me personally, but it is also true that the goodness of God in our lives can make soul-winners out of each of us. There have been a number of people I’ve led to the Lord over the years that I didn’t preach a word to. They just saw what God was doing in my life and wanted Him to come into their lives.

That is why this ministry is so vital to what God is doing in the world today. We follow the example in Isaiah 63:7 that says, “I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord . . . yes, the many good things he has done.”

Through your prayers and financial support, God is using this ministry to reveal His love, favor, and goodness to people around the world. When you give, you are helping to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. You are a part of the miracles and breakthroughs people are experiencing every day!

Because of you and other faithful, generous givers, over 10,400 souls were saved through our Chariots of Light motorcycle outreaches last year, our television ministry airs in 200 countries declaring God’s goodness, and people in the biggest cities and small villages around the world are discovering the love of God for the first time.

God has been good to you and me, and we cannot keep that to ourselves.

As you give this month, I have a special partner message I want to send to you as a thank you for believing in this ministry vision. I taught this message a few weeks ago and know that it will inspire your faith to believe for more manifestations of God’s goodness in your life.

Join with me in believing for a greater manifestation of the goodness of God. Activate your faith and dare to expect God to move in your life in greater ways than ever before!

In Him,

Jerry Savelle
