Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Christmas always reminds me of how deeply loved we are by God. This isn’t just a season of lights and gatherings; it’s the celebration of a Savior who stepped into our world with a plan already in motion for your victory and freedom.
As you enjoy time with loved ones, I pray you feel the peace and joy that only Jesus brings and see His goodness at every turn. May your home be filled with laughter, your heart be strengthened with hope, and your days this season overflow with the confidence that God is with you and for you.
Every Christmas we celebrate more than birth of our Savior. We also celebrate God’s gracious plan of redemption. Long before shepherds heard angels sing over Bethlehem, long before Mary wrapped Jesus in swaddling clothes, the Father had already authored a rescue plan for humanity.
Adam’s failure did not catch Heaven off guard. God set redemption in motion from the very moment sin entered the garden, and that plan stepped into the visible world that silent night in Bethlehem. The Gospels declare, “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, he is the Messiah, the Lord” (Luke 2:11).
Jesus came with one mission: to free you from the grip of sin and death.
In Christ, you are victorious. You can face any trial, any hardship, any fire, and come out rejoicing on the other side of it.
Think of the biblical account found in Daniel 3. King Nebuchadnezzar’s decree was simple, when the music plays, everyone bows to the image. Three young Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, knowing their covenant and knowing their God, refused to bow.
I want you to notice how faith talks when the heat is on. Nebuchadnezzar demanded, bow or burn. Then they responded, saying, “Our God is able to deliver us, and we will not bow.”
Oh, how the Church needs this boldness today!
People who know their standing with God know how the story turns out. You may not know the method God will choose, but you can be sure of the end result. The Psalmist declared, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). If you know that, why bow?
Listen to what God does with people who refuse to bend or compromise…
The furnace was heated seven times hotter. It was so hot that the men who threw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire were consumed. But instead of burning, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were seen standing in the flames.
King Nebuchadnezzar peered in and stammered, “Did we not cast three men into the fire? I see four men loose, walking, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” (Daniel 3:24).
If you will not bow, you will not burn, because the Fourth Man steps in. And when He steps in, the fire loses power, the ropes fall off, and you come out without even the smell of smoke.
Who is this fourth man?
In Jerry’s famous sermon “The Fourth Man”, he declares:
“In Daniel, He is the Fourth Man in every furnace you will ever face. And He does not stop there. In the Gospels, He is Messiah, Wonder Worker, Son of Man, Son of God. In Acts, He is the Spirit’s power at work. In the letters, He is your Justifier, Sanctifier, Redeemer from the curse, the One with unsearchable riches, the fullness of the Godhead bodily, your soon coming King. In Revelation, King of kings and Lord of lords. That is who walks with you.”
This season, we celebrate our Savior born in a manger who grew up and walked the streets of Isreal. As Jesus ministered three and a half years, He dealt hell one defeat after another. The sick were healed, demons were cast out, the dead were raised. Then He allowed Himself to be bound, beaten, and crucified. But Hell celebrated too soon.
When Jesus cried, “It is finished”, and His spirit descended to the place of the dead, He did not descend as a victim, but as a victor, paying the full price of sin.
On the third day, the celebration below was interrupted. Heaven declared the sacrifice accepted. Jesus rose, walked to Satan, stripped him of the crown Adam forfeited, seized the keys of death, hell, and the grave, and made a public spectacle of principalities and powers.
He ascended, presented His blood, His Father anointed Him with the oil of gladness, placed the scepter of righteousness in His hand, and seated Him in the place of all authority.
So what does this mean for you in a December filled with news cycles, financial strain, family stress, and questions about the future?
It means you live in faith refusing to bow to fear, anxiety, offense, or despair. It means you resist the devil, and he will flee from you. You stand, you speak the Word, and you watch the captivity turn.
I love how the book of Job phrases it, “God turned the captivity of Job” (Job 42:10). He didn’t only set him free; He put the pressure back on the one who applied it.
Jesus isn’t just a sweet baby in a manger… He is the Fourth Man in the fire!
As a child of God, you can know how every situation turns out. I didn’t say you will know the route or the timetable. I said you can know the outcome.
So, do not compromise. Keep your confession aligned with God’s promise, not with the pressure of the moment. Answer every taunt with the bold confession, “My God is able and I will not bow!”
So let this season be the beginning of your season of victory. Make choices that match the plan Jesus came to fulfill, which was your victory over sin and death.
Refuse worry and choose to be at peace. Peace is not the absence of fire; it is the presence of the Fourth Man in the fire with you. Do not quit. The only people who lose are those who bow.
Thank God continually for the plan He set into motion at Bethlehem, proved at Calvary, and sealed at the empty tomb.
When you stand firm in faith, Heaven moves. This is one of those moments. As you sow this month, do it with boldness, knowing you are aligning yourself with the same God who stood in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. This is the same Savior who stepped into the world in Bethlehem, and the same Spirit who lives in you today.
I believe as you honor Him, He will honor you, and the testimony that comes out of this season will be one of freedom, favor, and breakthrough.
This month we want to place a powerful resource in your hands. When you sow your seed, we will immediately send you Jerry’s audio teaching, The Fourth Man, as our thank-you. Let this message stir your spirit, strengthen your faith, and remind you that you never stand in the fire alone.
You can sow securely online at jerrysavelle.org. You can also give by calling 866-576-4872 (toll-free), or by texting DECEMBER2025 to 50155. If you prefer, simply use the enclosed reply form and postage-paid envelope.
You can enjoy this holiday season. You do not need to monitor the fire or measure the heat. Fix your eyes on the Fourth Man. In Him you have the power. In Him you have the victory. In Him you know the end from the beginning.
Start and end this season with confidence. Start with the song of the angels, “Today a Savior is born.” End with the testimony of the furnace, “I did not bow, and I did not burn.”
Merry Christmas,

Carolyn Savelle
P.S. This is the beginning of your victory season. God has great things in store for you, this year, next year, and beyond. Be at peace, rejoice, do not quit, and thank God for His unstoppable plan, set into motion with the birth of Jesus and sealed forever in His triumph. I hope to hear from you soon!
