WEBMASTER / DEVELOPER (Updated 3/2020)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Regular Office Hours: 37.5 hours weekly

General Directives

Jerry Savelle Ministries International exists to reach people around the world with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, teaching them to become the winners in life that God created them to be. The directives to fulfill Dr. and Mrs. Savelle’s God-given vision are: motivating – evangelizing – discipling – and reaching out to people around the globe with Biblical truths concerning spiritual growth, renewing the soul, and healing their bodies, finances, and relationships.

In line with Biblical stewardship, the Media Department is foundational to the success of the Ministry and its primary objective is to craft and administer the public face of the ministry.

Overview: The Webmaster / Developer oversees all aspects of developing and implementing web related strategies for Jerry Savelle Ministries.

Primary Duties

  • Understands that Internet (and new technology) exposure is integral to Jerry Savelle Ministries reaching the widest possible audience.
  • Employee recognizes that there may be areas of work required that are outside the person’s skill level or training; this means the employee is expected to develop or learn those skills.
  • Employee is able to multi-task as required and demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits enthusiasm (with practical knowledge) for continual relationship building with all parties involved in expansion of our web base. 
  • Researches growth trends and new web developments for integration into Ministry websites and web stores (including international offices).
  • Responsible to become familiar with ministry products, outreaches and goals and actively researches ways for better promotion of said products, outreaches and goals.
  • Contributing member of the Media team.
  • As a JSMI team member, participates in the success of Ministry’s major outreaches and/or annual events including:
    • President’s Cabinet/Vision Event
    • HFCC MA Annual Conference
    • COL PAL Rally

Additional Requirements

Must live a life that exemplifies Biblical values – attend church regularly
Minimum of High school diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Excellent organization skills, self-motivated and takes initiative
Must maintain confidentiality of Ministry business
Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities
Able to work overtime on an “as needed” basis
Able to adapt well to changing work situations
Able to work in an active environment and maintain focus
Proficient in HTML, XML, PHP, CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver

Not required but helpful if candidate has working knowledge in any of the following: Java, C++, C#, Perl, VBScript, JavaScript, DOM, Visual Basic .NET,

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST (Updated 3/2020)

Overview: The Social Media Specialist oversees all aspects of developing and implementing social media strategies for Jerry Savelle Ministries.

Primary Duties

  • Meet regularly with staff to review projects, determine challenges and brainstorm solutions.
  • Follow directives for continuing education and personal growth
  • Communicates effectively and consistently with Media Manager.
  • Assist in marketing for other media channels.
  • Ability to create original social content.
  • Posses a strong understanding of how to utilize Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other emerging social media to communicate and engage people through.
  • Grow engagement, visibility, reach, audience, and impact through social campaigns and through proactive and reactive engagement.
  • Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success.
  • Apply marketing research and development methods to learn and understand emerging trends and technologies.
  • Always mindful of JSMI mandates:  Mass Discipleship, Mentoring Leaders, Social Medial and Evangelism (Chariots).
  • Participates effectively in the success of JSMI’s major outreaches and/or annual events: 
    President’s Cabinet/Vision Event
    HFCC MA Annual Conference
    COL PAL Annual Rally

Additional Requirements

  • Must live a life that exemplifies Biblical values – attend church regularly
  • Minimum of High school diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services
  • Utilizes creativity, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills required as well as self-discipline, ability to manage own time and meet deadlines and production schedules (detail-oriented, efficient, follow directions well, dependable)
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple high priority jobs simultaneously
  • Able to adapt well to changing work situations
  • Insures that goods and services are produced efficiently, are of excellent quality, quantity and cost
  • Preferred Skills: Basic Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
