God has given you this season of life as a precious gift, and every moment carries purpose. When you slow down and stay attentive to Him, you’ll begin to see the beautiful opportunities He has already placed right in front of you.

You are only here for a short time, and what you choose to do with that time matters more than you realize.

The Bible puts it this way in James 4:13–14: “What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” That verse can be very sobering; twenty or thirty years feels like a long time, but Scripture reminds us that life passes quickly.

That reality leads to an important question: if our time is limited, what should we be pursuing right now? What should matter most to us as believers?

People answer that question in all kinds of ways. Some focus on careers, others on travel, hobbies, or experiences. And there’s nothing wrong with enjoying life—God wants you to enjoy it. But enjoyment was never meant to take the place of purpose.

Jesus answered this question very clearly in Matthew 22:36–40. When He was asked what the greatest commandment was, He said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Then He added, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” And He said everything else hangs on those two commands.

In other words, if you get love right, you get life right.

The word love gets thrown around so easily these days. We say we love people, we love food, we love shows, we love stuff. But biblical love is not vague and it’s not abstract. Love shows up in real ways.

I want you to hear this clearly: You are loved by God. Not tolerated. Not barely accepted. Loved.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God thinks thoughts of peace toward you, thoughts of hope and a future. Psalm 139 says God saw you before you were ever formed, and that His thoughts toward you are precious and beyond counting. That means God doesn’t just love you, He thinks about you constantly.

Jesus reinforced this in Matthew 6 and Matthew 10 when He said that you are worth more than the birds of the air and the sparrows in the field. God knows when even one sparrow falls, and He knows the number of hairs on your head. Why? Because you matter deeply to Him.

And once we understand that we are loved like that, the question becomes: What will we do with that love?

Jesus answered that as well. In John 13:34–35, He said, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” And 1 John 4 tells us that love comes from God, and that anyone who truly knows God will naturally love others.

Your primary purpose as a believer is not just to believe correctly, but to love intentionally.

First Corinthians 13 makes this unmistakably clear. You can have great faith, great knowledge, and great sacrifice, but if love is missing, God says it profits nothing.

Love is not optional.

And loving people begins with those God has already placed in your life—your family, your friends, your coworkers, your church community. You can’t reach the world if you’re unwilling to reach your own circle first.

In John 13:34–35 He said, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you.” Then He added something that should get our attention. “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

Notice what Jesus did not say. He didn’t say the world would know us by our buildings, our programs, or even our knowledge of Scripture. He said the distinguishing mark of every believer is love.

Here’s why this matters so much: The world must see and feel before they can understand.

People don’t encounter the love of God first through explanations - they encounter it through demonstrations. They experience it through kindness, through patience, through forgiveness, and through believers who actually walk in love.

The truth is that the world will never fully see the love of God until believers first learn to walk in the fullness of this great power. And make no mistake, love is power. It’s the greatest force God has ever released into the earth.

Love replaces selfishness.

Human nature is naturally selfish. Before Christ, everything revolves around self—what I want, what I need, what benefits me. But when you are born again, something radical happens. Colossians 1:13 says that God has delivered you from the power of darkness and brought you into the kingdom of His beloved Son.

That means you now live by a different nature.

And Romans 5:5 makes it even clearer:“The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” That means love is already in you. You aren’t trying to get it - you are learning to yield to it.

This is where transformation really happens. When you allow God’s love to govern your thoughts, your words, and your actions, selfishness loses its grip. Fear loses its voice, and peace begins to rule.

Loving like this doesn’t mean people will always respond the way you want them to, but it does mean you will always be walking in the will of God. And when you walk in God’s will, you walk under His blessing, His protection, and His favor.

So, I want to encourage you today: Don’t just know that God loves you—live like you are loved. Let His love flow through you. Let it shape how you speak, how you respond, and how you treat the people around you.

This is how the world will see Jesus. This is how lives are changed. This is how you live a life with no regret.

God’s will is to love, and you have everything you need to walk in it, right now.

Sometimes your love will feel unnoticed, but Galatians 6:7 reminds us that whatever we sow, we will reap. Love is never wasted. God sees it, and love always finds its way back.

Ask yourself today: How am I loving God intentionally? How am I loving people intentionally?

Is there someone you need to call? Someone you need to forgive? Someone you need to spend time with? Don’t put it off. You don’t get yesterday back, and tomorrow is not promised.

When you choose to live a life centered on loving God and loving people, you eliminate regret. You align yourself with God’s heart, and you discover a joy and fulfillment this world can never offer.

You are loved more than you know. God is thinking about you. He values you deeply, and He has placed His love inside you to give away to those around you.

As you respond to the love God has shown you, one of the most powerful ways to express that love is by sowing into what He is doing in the lives of others. When you give, you are putting love into action.

You are helping carry the message of God’s goodness, His faithfulness, and His unfailing love to people who need hope right now.

I want you to know how deeply grateful we are for your partnership. Your giving truly makes a difference, and together we are touching lives, strengthening believers, and advancing the Gospel around the world.
