Something is happening right now that I have never seen in over fifty years of ministry.
And I believe with everything in me that God brought you to this letter today because He wants you in the middle of it.
Wake up. Stand up. Speak up.
I’ve been carrying those words the past few months. I am sharing them with you now because I believe they are for you, too.
Throughout America and the entire world are experiencing a Christian renewal like we have never seen. Bible sales are up 41.6%. Spiritual downloads are up 79.5%. Worship music is off the charts. At Charlie Kirk’s memorial, more people were born again in a single day than at any recorded moment in the history of the world. This generation is running to God.
Revival is here. We are in the midst of it. The only question is: are you in the midst of it with Him?
Wake Up
The Amplified Bible in Ephesians 5:15 says, “Look carefully then how you walk, live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as unwise and witless, but as wise, sensible, intelligent people.”
God’s Word is talking about the condition of your soul. Are you living purposefully? Are you living accurately?
Are you going through the motions, collecting sermons, playing religious games, asking A.I. to be your spiritual guide? Or are you on your knees with an ear tuned to heaven, hearing what God wants you to say and do right now?
Waking up also means waking up morally.
Ephesians 5:14 says, “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” That is a call to live righteously and to be aware of the spiritual realities surrounding you.
You are not supposed to be drowsy in your morals any more than you are drowsy in your faith. You would be surprised at the number of Christians, even ministers, who are allowing their minds to wander into places they should not go, allowing thoughts to come in and settle that have no business being there.
As Brother Kenneth E. Hagin used to say, a bird can fly over your head, but you do not have to give it permission to build a nest in your hair. Cast those thoughts down. Get rid of them!
You cannot walk in the fullness of what God has for you in this season while carrying things that have no place in the life of one who is consecrated to Him.
Waking up means evaluating your life and asking yourself honestly whether it reflects the values and priorities of the Kingdom of God. It means making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Everything out there is trying to pull you away from what God is saying. That means you have to be intentional. You have to be deliberate. You have to guard what you let in and stay sharp to what God is speaking.
No more spiritual drowsiness. No more laxity. You have an assignment, and God needs you fully awake to receive it!
Stand Up
When I heard “stand up,” I heard it as a military command. In military terms, when a commanding officer enters the room, every soldier stops. They stand at attention, heels together, chest up, eyes forward and ready to receive orders.
That is what God is saying to His church right now. Attention! Stand ready to move the moment He gives the command.
Since Jerry went home to be with the Lord, the Holy Spirit has been challenging me to stand in my authority as a believer more fully than I ever have. At this moment, I have family members who are far from God. Despite this, I’ve planted my feet and I am calling them into the Kingdom because we are out of time for passivity.
Joel 3:9–10 says to “stir up the mighty men” and let the weak say, “I am strong.”
Maybe you don’t feel mighty right now. But you are! The Word says so. The devil has taken territory he has no right to occupy, and it is time for you to take it back.
Speak Up
2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “I believed, therefore I have spoken.” If you truly believe, you must speak.
Moses spoke to Pharaoh. Esther spoke to the king at the risk of her life. Nathan stood before David and spoke truth to power. Speaking up is a moral obligation for every believer.
Years ago, I saw a vulgar billboard on the highway that I simply could not let stand. I wrote one letter, mobilized thousands of women, and sent it to the station responsible. Within the week, every one of those billboards came down across the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
One woman. One voice. One holy indignation. That is what speaking up looks like.
Matthew 5:14 says you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. You don’t light a lamp and put it under a basket. You let it shine, at work, at school, in every open door God gives you.
Joel 3:14 says multitudes are standing in the valley of decision right now. And 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Now. Not someday… Now.
Multitudes are standing in the valley of decision right now, and they are waiting for someone to wake up, stand up, and speak up on their behalf.
