The Established Heart Relies and Trusts Entirely on the Word
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
The established heart needs no other evidence outside of God’s Word.
Matthew 8:5-10
The centurion took Jesus at His word. He had confidence in the Word and its authority alone.
Allow the Word to be final authority.
Do not depend upon sense knowledge.
John 20:24-29 – “…blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (v.29).
The Established Heart Refuses to Go Back on What He Has Prayed
A confession of doubt will make the Word ineffective.
Hebrews 4:12-16 – “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession” (v.14).
Hold fast to the answer and not the problem.
Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is
faithful that promised;)”
Refuse to allow Satan to steal the Word.
Mark 4:14-29
The Established Heart Refuses to Cast Away His Faith
Hebrews 10:35-36 – “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”
Patience added to your faith causes you to receive.
Hebrews 6:11-15 – “And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise” (v.15).
The trying of your faith puts the force of patience to work.
James 1:1-8 – “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (vv.3-4).
Patience: being constant, consistent, never changing regardless of the circumstance.
