I want to invite you to sow into this ministry, not just as a giver, but as a builder of memorials. When you give, you're helping us tell these stories to the world. You’re helping us equip believers to live by faith, and you’re making it possible for the next generation to hear the testimonies that can shape their destiny.  Click here now ⟩

What are the moments in your life you never want to forget? The ones where you knew—without a doubt—that God showed up?

These are the moments that have shaped your faith and anchored your trust in God.

I want to share a powerful biblical principle that has helped me hold on, press through, and see God’s goodness again and again.

Let’s talk about memorials.

Now, I know in our culture, we think of memorials as something we build after someone passes away. But in the Bible, a memorial isn’t about what’s been lost, it’s about what’s been won. It’s about marking a victory.

Why is that important? Because faith fades when we forget. That’s why over and over in Scripture, God instructs His people to remember.

And we see this so clearly in Deuteronomy chapter 4, verse 9, “do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” (Deuteronomy 4:9, NIV)

In so many ways, the life of faith is a life of remembering

But it’s not just about telling stories. It’s about living each day mindful of what God has done, confident in what He’s still doing, and expectant about His promises for the future.

When the Israelites crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land, God told Joshua to command the leaders to take twelve stones from the riverbed and stack them up. Why? “So that this may be a sign among you. When your children ask, ‘What do these stones mean?’ you will tell them” (Joshua 4:6–7)

That’s the heart of a memorial. It’s about passing on legacy and an identity of who we are as God’s people. It’s a bridge from the past faithfulness of God into the present battles of life

When David stood before Goliath, what gave him the confidence to face a giant? He didn’t have military training. He didn’t have armor. But he had a memorial, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” (1 Samuel 17:37)

David remembered—and that remembrance released faith.

Let me tell you—God hasn’t changed. He still splits seas. He still heals bodies. He still breaks chains. He still moves mountains, and He still responds to faith.

Now, let me share one of my favorite memorials—one that shaped my life and Jerry’s, and continues to stir up faith in me to this day.

Back in the 1980s, Jerry was invited to the Citation jet manufacturing plant in Wichita, Kansas. While he was there, a man from the service department offered him a rare opportunity to see the brand-new jet still in development, the Citation.

They let him do more than just look around; He actually got to climb inside the very first prototype—serial number 001. He walked through the cabin, sat in each seat, and even climbed into the cockpit.

But as he stepped out of the plane and began walking across the hangar, he had a flashback to his childhood. He remembered his old neighborhood, where his friend Willie Malone lived.  Anytime Willie’s mother wanted him to come home, she’d step out on the front porch and yell, “Willieeeeeee!” She’d draw it out loud and clear—and wherever he was, Willie would come running.

In that moment, standing in the hangar, the Lord whispered to Jerry’s heart,
“Call that airplane home like she used to call Willie.”

So, he pointed his finger at that jet and, in faith, said out loud, “Willieeeeeee, come home!”

That may sound silly to some people, but to us, that was a faith moment. A memorial in the making. For the next 20 years, Jerry believed God for a Citation jet. He kept a model of it on his desk, and every now and then—driving down the road—he’d roll down the window and yell, “Willieeeeeee, come home!”

And then, years later… it happened. God provided a Citation jet, and, miraculously, it was the same plane Jerry sat in twenty years earlier. The one he pointed to and called out by faith. The very first Citation ever made.

It should have been destroyed like most prototypes. But it wasn’t. It had been preserved by God—for a purpose. That plane had a divine assignment. God protected it, reserved it, and brought it out at the right time. What Jerry called by faith God brought to fulfillment.

I love telling that story! That’s the power of a memorial. It reminds you that what God has done before, He can do again. And if He did it for Jerry and me, He can do it for you

That’s why we keep the memories alive, because someone needs to hear it. Someone needs to believe again, and maybe that someone is you

Psalm 78 says we must “not hide from the rising generation the great marvels of our God—His miracles and power that have brought us all this far… so every generation will set its hope in God.”

I’m repeating and declaring the marvels of our God. I’m telling these stories—memorials of miracles—so my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will know just how faithful our God is. But more than that, I want you to have memorials of your own.

What has God done for you? Don’t let what God has done slip from your heart. Keep it close. Rehearse it. Teach it. Celebrate it. That’s how faith is passed down—and how miracles keep showing up.

I want to invite you to sow into this ministry, not just as a giver, but as a builder of memorials. When you give, you're helping us tell these stories to the world. You’re helping us equip believers to live by faith, and you’re making it possible for the next generation to hear the testimonies that can shape their destiny.

Your gift becomes a memorial. A marker of faith. A testimony that God is still working, still moving, still providing. So, I challenge you—stretch your faith. Let your giving today be a “Willie, come home” moment. Declare it. Believe it. Sow toward it.

And don’t be surprised when, years from now, you look back and realize… God did it again.

I love you. I’m praying for you. And I’m standing with you—believing that your greatest testimonies are still to come.

In His love and mine,
Carolyn Savelle

P.S. What are you believing for? A healing? A breakthrough? A prodigal to come home? A dream to come alive again? Let this story be your reminder, God is faithful to finish what He starts.

When you give today, don’t just give an offering—sow it as a memorial. Mark this moment. Speak your faith, and don’t be surprised when the very thing you called out years ago comes walking right through the door.
