God has a divine destination for you and your family. There is opposition and there are challenges, but God doesn’t want you to quit and miss out on the good things He has planned.
How do you respond when challenges try to derail you from God’s good plan?
Two of the most powerful words that you will ever hear from God when you’re facing what appears to be an impossible situation are, “GO FORWARD!”
A great example of this is found in the story of Moses and the children of Israel, when they were leaving Egypt and came upon the Red Sea. Faced with an impossible situation in front of them and an army attacking from behind, God instructs Moses saying, “Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward” (Exodus 14:13-15).
It’s never God’s will for you to retreat or to turn back. Quitting isn’t an option for people of faith! Going forward is always God’s plan for you. He always has something better planned for you up ahead.
Going forward begins in your heart. Before you can go forward on the outside, you have to go forward on the inside. You’ll never go forward while feeling sorry for yourself and having a pity-party because things are tough.
You have to start seeing it on the inside. When you start seeing it with your eye of faith, you will then start seeing it manifested in your life. Begin seeing yourself walking victoriously. See yourself overcoming all the effects of covid-19. See yourself advancing, conquering, and prospering right now in 2020!
Everything that God had in store for you is not behind you but just ahead of you!
What happened when the children of Israel obeyed God’s instruction to go forward? God parted the Red Sea and destroyed the army trying to attack them. God brought a miraculous victory!
God’s miracle power will also meet you as you go forward!
When God told them to “Go forward”, He also told them two verses later what would happen if they obeyed. By going forward, God declared to them, “I will put my glory on display” (Exodus 14:17 Message). When God’s glory is on display, there will be signs, wonders, and extra-ordinary things taking place.
If you’re obedient to go forward, it will cause a chain reaction of miracles and breakthroughs just as it did for Moses and the children of Israel.
If you’re willing to go forward, there will be new possibilities awaiting you as well as new opportunities to take you to higher levels of victory.
What chain reactions do you suppose will take place if you choose to go forward?
Going forward is about advancement and progress even in the middle of a pandemic! A virus can’t stop God’s plan when you go forward. A crashing economy can’t hold back God’s blessing when you go forward. God’s glory will produce miracle results that this world can’t understand, nor can this world stop!
While the world can’t stop God’s plan, how you and I respond to adversity and hardships can.
Even after seeing all the miracles God performed, the children of Israel began to doubt God. Psalm 78:41 in the Passion Translation reveals, “Again and again they limited God, preventing him from blessing them. Continually they turned back from him and provoked the Holy One of Israel!”
Even though He repeatedly demonstrated to them that nothing was impossible to Him, they still complained and let go of their faith.
Psalm 78:19-20 NIV shows us their state of mind, “They spoke against God; they said, ‘Can God really spread a table in the wilderness? True, he struck the rock, and water gushed out, streams flowed abundantly, but can he also give us bread? Can he supply meat for his people?’”
They allowed their minds to become overwhelmed by thoughts of how big and how impossible their problems were. Don’t let that happen to you!
Instead, stay focused on God’s promises. Stay focused on His miracle power. Stay faithful to the church God has planted you in. Stay faithful to your giving and generosity.
Don’t draw back. Refuse to give in to discouragement. GO FORWARD!
You’ve got to stay in faith if you truly want to experience God’s best. This is not the time to back off. Hebrews 6:11-12 in the Passion says, “We long to see you passionately advance until the end…so don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.”
And then the writer gives the example of Abraham and says, “Abraham stuck it out and got everything that had been promised to him” (Hebrews 6:15 Message).
Your best days are ahead. As you go forward taking steps of faith, you’ll see God’s glory manifested, producing miracles and doing the impossible.
