Partner Letter February 2015

lshookMonthly Partner Letter

Jerry SavelleI recently spoke a powerful, Spirit-filled message that you need to hear! I titled it The Power Of The Cross and I asked my staff to make it this month’s teaching resource. Click here to give>

When was the last time you heard a message about the work Jesus did on the cross?
What happened at the cross must be at the core of our beliefs. It’s the very reason for our faith – it’s the foundation for our faith, our relationship with God, and our new life in Christ. The Apostle Paul spoke of this when writing to the church in Corinth saying,, “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain” (1 Corinthians 15:14).

It’s become basically just an “Easter Message” instead of something we hear about continually. But in reality, no other revelation has greater importance! In fact, all other revelations have their origin in the revelation of the cross.

The events that took place at the cross are the single most important events that have ever occurred on earth. Paul said he, “Passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 emphasis mine).

1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “I know very well how foolish the message of the cross sounds to those who are on the road to destruction. But, we who are saved recognize this message as the very power of God” (emphasis mine).

No wonder Satan hopes we never preach the message of the cross – it’s the very power of God! God spoke to me at the end of last year saying that 2015 would be a year of visitations, manifestations and demonstrations. The Holy Spirit is revealing that it’s time we see God move through believers like you and me just as He did in the days of the Apostles and the early church!

The message of the cross includes not only the suffering of Christ and His eventual death, but also the penalty that was paid for our redemption during the three days between his death and resurrection. And, of course the resurrection itself!

You cannot separate these important events – they are all integrated into one. Any one part without the other wouldn’t have been sufficient to purchase your freedom.

The sad truth is that most Christians today know very little about what really took place at the cross!

If you truly want to understand the Power of God, then study the cross! Jesus’ death and resurrection is the essence of God’s power.

Think about it – I mean seriously think about it – JESUS CONQUERED DEATH, HELL, AND THE GRAVE and along with that HE TOTALLY DEFEATED YOUR ADVERSARY!

The cross is the foundation that your victory is built on! A revelation of this, and your days of living in defeat are over!

From Genesis to Revelation, there is a common thread – the Old Testament foretells of a “Coming Redeemer” – the New Testament shows that He came and He did redeem us! It is the message of the gospel.

After being beaten, whipped, humiliated, and spat on, Jesus dying on the cross cried out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me” (Mathew 27:46)?

Satan and the demons thought they had Him. But this is exactly what God had planned for our redemption. Jesus spoke those words because at that moment, He who knew no sin was made to be sin for us, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21)!

Sin here means to be estranged from God. He never sinned but He was willing to be made sin. He didn’t deserve “estrangement from His Father” but He knew that this was the only way to purchase your freedom.

When He was made to be sin, His Spirit was ushered into the place of transgressions – the region of the damned, Hell.

But after those 3 days and nights, the Supreme Court of the Universe was satisfied that the price had been paid and the Bible says that Jesus was, “Justified in the Spirit” (1 Timothy 3:16). This means He was acquitted from punishment and vindicated as being right.

Jesus was in that place by choice, not because He deserved to be there. And by doing so, He “Canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” Colossians 2:14-15).

Now, you’re seeing a true picture of what really happened at the cross! The power of the cross was the very first message preached after the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost and the New Testament Church began. It changed the world then and it will change your life now!

When you get a revelation of the power of the cross, your days of weakness and defeat are over! Your life of victory is found in the gospel of the cross.

I recently spoke a powerful, Spirit-filled message that you need to hear! I titled it The Power Of The Cross and I asked my staff to make it this month’s teaching resource. In this message I go more in-depth into what happened the three days Jesus was in Hell. These are powerful details many Christians have never been taught. When you give this month, I will send you this anointed message free of charge as an instant MP3 download or on compact disc.

Your partnership and faithful support enables this ministry to boldly speak God’s truth to a world searching for answers. For over 45 years I have proclaimed a message of grace, hope, and faith and it has never been more needed than it is now.

How will people believe if they have not heard and how will they hear if no one is sent (Romans 10:14)?

Every month, my partners help send me! Will you pray about sowing financially into this ministry and help send me? Together, with your help, we can reach more people and see more lives changed.

I am thankful for you and count it a privilege to speak into your life. I am so glad that God linked us

together!

In Him,

Jerry Savelle

P.S. Let me also invite you to watch the Jerry Savelle Ministry television broadcast this month. I will be teaching about the prayer of petition. Not all prayer is the same. The revelation I received concerning the prayer of petition changed my life and I want to share it with you!
