I grew up in church like many Americans in the 50s and 60s. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t believe God existed and that Jesus is the Son of God. I knew the story of the cross—Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead.
As a child, I would sing, “Jesus loves me this I know…” But I thought that was just a song to sing in church and didn’t have anything to do with real life. It wasn’t until much later, when I discovered in Scripture that I have a covenant with God, that my life started to change.
The revelation that you have a covenant with God and that He is faithful to fulfill it, is the greatest revelation you can have. And until you settle that in your heart, you will never experience the full potential of God’s love, blessing, and favor that is available to you.
The writer of Chronicles understood the importance of this covenant and wrote, “Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way” (2 Chronicles 6:14, NIV). Our covenant is a covenant of love.
God’s blessing and favor in your life is the result of God fulfilling His covenant of love with you. Every time the favor of God reveals itself in your life, that is a token of God’s love for you.
The psalmist wrote, “The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation” (Psalm 145:8-9, NLT).
Why would God want to bless you? Why would God’s favor manifest in your life? Love! Because of God’s covenant of love with you!
The prophetic word the Lord gave me for this year is, “We have entered into a time of unprecedented favor.” God is a covenant keeping God, and He is going to pour out His favor on us like never before!
The psalmist wrote about it many, many years ago and said, “Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion (The Church), for the time to favor her, yea the set time has come” (Psalm 102:13). There are other translations that say “the appointed time” and also “the moment designated.”
Paul picked up on this and declared in his writings, “That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace (favor) in his kindness toward us, through Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:7).
Now is the time for God to show the exceeding, immeasurable, limitless, surpassing riches of His favor! What is that? UNPRECEDENTED! Paul saw it in the spirit and declared that a future generation will experience it.
We are that generation!
Yes, people in both the Old and New Testaments experienced God’s favor, but not like what’s headed our way. God is always increasing. That is His nature. The prophet Haggai declared, “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former said the Lord of hosts…” (Haggai 2:9). The Message says “…a glorious beginning but an even more glorious finish.”
That’s just the way God works. He never does less from one generation to another— HE DOES MORE! Scripture tells us in Psalm 115:14, “The Lord shall increase you more and more…” The Bible says of Job, “So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning…” (Job 42:12).
Let me encourage you, YOUR BEST DAYS ARE JUST AHEAD! You are headed for more of God’s favor than you have ever experienced before!
Paul described this by saying, “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]” (Ephesians 3:20, AMP).
What I hear Paul telling us is simply this: DON’T LIMIT GOD! DON’T BE A SMALL THINKER! DARE TO THINK BIG!
Isn’t that exactly how our God is: HE’S THE GOD OF MORE THAN ENOUGH! I’m telling you, the favor that’s coming your way is beyond anything you’ve ever seen before. This unprecedented favor is going to shake some things loose that Satan has been holding back from you, and he’ll not be able to do anything about it.
The harvest that belongs to you is coming! It’s “crying out” to come into the hands that it rightfully belongs in—and that’s your hands!
That’s why we have this Scripture text: “No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this, Never so much as imagined anything quite like it—What God has arranged for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9, The Message).
This verse certainly describes the awesome impact we are seeing for the Kingdom of God so far this year. Through television, live meetings, faith-building resources, and outreaches, we’re reaching more people now than ever before!
We’re seeing a great harvest of souls coming into the family of God through our Chariots of Light motorcycle outreaches. Already this year, our outreach teams have prayed with over 2,000 people making decisions to follow Jesus at secular biker rallies!
We are believing to see over 5,000 people make decisions for Christ this year. God has given us favor and prearranged for us to go where others won’t to reach those far from Him. We still have a lot of work to do this year as we are planning to go to some of the biggest and baddest secular biker rallies.
Also, through our Legacy Project, you are helping to make more faith-saturated, uplifting resources available worldwide. Many of these teachings are the very revelations from God that took me from being a “nobody” to a champion. I know they will transform other people’s lives also!
We refuse to think small! We will go after every opportunity God gives us to preach faith and reach people. Will you join with me in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ?
