When you give this month, as a thank you, I will send you my recent message, Living in a State of God’s Favor. I know that it will strengthen and encourage your faith. Click here to give>
Do you remember what your life was like before you received a revelation of who Jesus is and what He has done for you?
Before surrendering my life to Christ, I was a quitter, in debt, marriage falling apart, and it seemed like nothing ever worked out for me. But, thank God, my life is completely different now! Whenever I tell my daughters, Jerriann and Terri, about my life before Christ, they can’t even imagine me living the way I did.
I’m writing to share with you one of the revelations from God’s Word that has made a great impact in my life over the years. This is one of the spiritual truths that God used to take me, a nobody, and make me a champion.
The Apostle Paul teaches us in Romans 5:1-2 from the Amplified Bible, “Therefore, since we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us grasp the fact that we have the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Through Him also we have our access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we firmly and safely stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.”
These two verses give us great insight into why Jesus came to earth and the results we should experience in our lives because of what He did.
Through Jesus you have been made righteous. It has nothing to do with your ability to be good or do all the right things. It’s entirely based on Jesus’ finished work of redemption on the cross. And because of your right standing with God, you have access to live in a continual state of God’s favor!
If this ever becomes a revelation to you, I promise your life will never be the same.
GOD WANTS YOU TO LIVE IN A STATE OF HIS FAVOR!
What is life like when you live in a state of God’s favor? I’m going to share with you four characteristics that I’ve discovered in Scripture and have experienced in my own life.
1. God’s Favor is on You
Scripture tells us in Psalm 3:8, “Thy blessing is upon thy people.” This is true of every believer! I have taught for many years how that when the blessing of God is on you so is the favor of God. In Genesis 12:2 from the Amplified Bible, we are told that God will bless us, “With abundant increase of favors.” So, if the blessing of God is on us, then the favor of God is on us as well.
2. God’s Favor Surrounds You
The psalmist wrote, “With favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” (Psalm 5:12) The Amplified Bible says that it will “Surround him.” This means that God’s favor will be as a hedge of protection, keeping you safe from the attacks of the enemy.
3. God’s Favor Follows You
One of my favorite verses has always been Psalm 23:6, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life …” One of the synonyms for “goodness” is favor! And God wants it following you all the days of your life.
4. God’s Favor Shows Up Everywhere You Go
As a believer, one of your covenant promises is that you would be, “Blessed when you are out and about and blessed when you come back” (Deuteronomy 28:6 CEB). There is nothing in this life that you are facing or ever will face that the favor of God is not there to bring you to victory!
These four characteristics are what I call living in a state of God’s favor!
Let’s review them once again and I suggest that you read them this time out loud:
God’s favor is on me.
God’s favor surrounds me.
God’s favor follows me.
God’s favor shows up everywhere I go.
I know that many Christians have experienced God’s favor. But I also know that God has placed a specific anointing on me concerning His favor. He has giving me revelation knowledge about His favor to teach you and the rest of the Body of Christ. It’s my assignment!
The Apostle John tells us in his writings that each believer has received an anointing from the Father. First John 2:27 says, “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you…”
Scripture also tells us even though we have all received the same Holy Ghost, not all of us have the same anointings. The Apostle Paul tells us, “But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.” The Amplified says, “With the best adaptation.”
You could say, God places on us the particular anointing that fits us best.
I wear the anointing that God has placed upon me! I have seen God’s favor active in every area of my life, causing seemingly impossible things to come to pass time and time again.
And not only that, I am a conduit through which that anointing can flow into and have a positive effect on others.
In his letter to the believers in Philippi, Paul wrote, “I have you in my heart…you are all partakers of my grace” (Philippians 1:7). He’s actually referring to the anointing that God chose to place on him. And they became “partakers” of it.
As I write this letter, I declare you a “partaker” of my anointing!
My anointing is to walk in a very high level of the favor of God! I’m also anointed to teach you how to do so as well and to experience the extraordinary in your life on a consistent basis until you become the winner in life that God has called you to be.
I’m so thankful that God has brought us together to encourage and support each other. I pray that He will continue to use our relationship to pour out more of His favor into your life through my teaching and preaching. I desire to help you become all that God wants you to be.
This month to help you experience more of God’s favor, as a thank you for your support, I will send you my new, faith-filled message, Living in a State of God’s Favor.
Thank you for believing in this ministry and helping me share God’s truth and love with more people.
In Him,
Jerry Savelle
