What if God wants to do something great, but your small thinking is limiting His ability to move in your life? Donât be like those spoken of in Psalm 78:41 who, âLimited the Holy One of Israel.â
I want to encourage you to expand your thinking, strengthen your faith, and enlarge your expectation! The prophetic word the Lord gave me for this year is that you will experience manifestations of His glory like never before. I want you to know that God is about to show up and show out on your behalf!
We are told in Joel 2:21 to, âFear not O Land, be glad and rejoice for the Lord will do great thingsâŠâ How are you going to respond to the negative reports, troubled relationships, and seemingly impossible circumstances you face? Will you respond in doubt or in fear? NO!
You have the Greater One living on the inside of you! (1 John 4:4) When the world around you is in turmoil and chaos, you will be glad and rejoice knowing that the God we serve is about to breakthrough in your life and do great things!
I can hear some people thinking, âWell thatâs easy for you to say, Brother Jerry, youâre a faith preacher!â Let me tell you, God is no respecter of persons. What He has done for me, He desires to do for you!
Also, I havenât always been a faith preacher. In fact, when I first surrendered my life to Jesus, I had a hard time trusting God to even pay mine and Carolynâs home electric bill. I trusted Him for my spiritual salvation, but when it came to my finances, I couldnât imagine why God would want to bless me.
My small thinking was limiting how God could move in my life!
But I didnât stay that way! I began to study Scripture and listen to ministers of the Gospel, like Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, and Oral Roberts. I began to discover that God, not only cared about my financial situation, but that it was His idea to bless me! As my faith grew and my thinking changed, I discovered that God wanted me blessed so that I could be a blessing!
I believe that one of the great things God is about to do in your life is to cause breakthrough and victory in your finances. Joel 2:21 tells us that He will do great things, but verse 24 tells us what those great things look like – âAnd the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.â (Joel 2:24)
When God shows up and does great things, it produces a harvest of financial blessing that is more than you can contain! This is telling us about a time of great harvest for Godâs people! Not only that, but verse 25 and 26 also says itâs a time of restoration and abundance!
Please understand that this great harvest is not for us to consume on ourselves. God doesnât mind you living well, but the real reason is so you will be able to invest in His Kingdom like never before.
He wants you to be one of His vessels â someone He can trust with large sums of money. Remember, what Jesus once said, recorded in Luke 12:15, âThen he said, âBeware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.â
People who only think about having enough to meet their needs are thinking too small and limiting the blessing God has for them. Itâs time to start trusting God to bless you so greatly, that you have more than enough to give to every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
God is getting the Body of Christ ready for a major outpouring of the Holy Ghost â a move of God like weâve never seen before and Heâs expecting us to finance it!
One of the key Bible-truths that helped transform my thinking about financial blessing was discovering that the essence of living is giving. One of the greatest joys in mine and Carolynâs life is to financially support spreading the Gospel and see Godâs love changing peopleâs lives.
When you have this type of generous heart and attitude, it opens the door for God to bless you even more! 2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us that, âGod loves a cheerful giver!â The Amplified translation says, âHe takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without a cheerful, joyous, prompt to do giver.â
We are His Covenant Partners in reaching the masses in these last days! You have been blessed to be a blessing!
I am so thankful that I get to be an encourager in your life and that God has brought us together. It is a great honor to be able to speak into your life, and I pray that Godâs truth will penetrate your heart and strengthen your faith for God to do something great!
