Walking in the Love of God

God’s Will Is Love

John 13:34-35 – “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

John 15:1-27 – “These things I command you, that ye love one another” (v.17).

God’s love should be the distinguishing mark of every believer.

The world must see and feel before they can understand.

The world will never see the love of God until believers learn to walk in the fullness of this great power.

Love Replaces Selfishness

Natural man’s nature is selfishness. God’s love is imparted to man in the new birth.

Colossians 1:13 – “Who hath delivered us from the power of darken and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”

Only the Father and His family have the ability to operate in this new kind of love (agape).

God has given us the spirit of love.

2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God hath not given the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

God’s love is shed abroad in our hearts.
Romans 5:5 – “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

Born of Love

1 John 4:4-8 – “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God” (v.7).

2 John 6 (AMP) – “And what this love consists in is this: that we live and walk in accordance with and guided by His commandments (His orders, ordinances, precepts, teaching). This is the commandment, as you have heard from the beginning, that you continue to walk in love [guided by it and following it].”

God’s love is keeping His commandments – walking after His teaching.

We have been given His love manual. Obeying God’s Word is walking in God’s love.

The love of God is released in your life by acting on the knowledge of God’s Word.
